There, I have open yet another can of worm for debate. Is it really a romance? I does have romance in it however twisted it was but it also centered on psychological horror. *Cough, cough, clears throat* Actually, there's another can of worm which I am afraid to open here -Exquisite Corpse by Poppy Z Brite. Hence as long it's central plot is based on a romance/love story, then it can have whatever ending but still would be categorized under the ROMANCE genre ) Reason being, central plot does not dictate the ending of a story. So, what I am saying is that, a romance is a love story. Some of her beta readers even said it's cruel to end it such a way (hence, the epilogue was created). The romance genre is about having a love story as a central plot but what does that have to do with how a plot would end? Let's take Want Me by Rowan McBride as an example, if not for her adding that canon epilogue after she has finished that book, it would not even really have a HFN ending. I beg to differ from such claims because it would be like trying to tell people that Romeo & Juliet is NOT a romance? Huh? Should I rest my case here already?

The first movie was a hit, but the sequel bombed. NC-17 Adults only Extremely explicit violence or sex, extreme horror, etc. So it's a bittersweet HEA)Ģ) Home Trained For You by Selim (has a HFN ending) R Restricted Kids under 17 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, because the film has strong violence, sex, drug use, and/or very crude language. So I figured, I will just list those books that SHOULD NOT be on this list here instead:ġ) Acquainted with the Night by Tymber Dalton (has a rather sweet HEA although the ending is a tearjerker. NOTE: Since, there are a couple of UNSUITABLE BOOKS keeps popping up back here, it would be pointless to try to remove it. These are the kind of endings we want to see here on this list. TQįor example, the death of the protagonist should suit this list. If unsure of a book, please try not to add it here. NOTE: Books that is just sad, depressing and makes you cry but have a HFN or HEA does not qualify to be on this list. No HFN or HEA at all just downright depressing with no hope or even a glimmer of happiness. M/M gay books with tragedy/sad ending that made you cry buckets.
